Acoustic Guitar Arts

Six strings is all it takes to be the life of the party.

Just because the acoustic guitar isn't as loud as an electric doesn't mean it's not exciting in itself. Guitarists like Emily Saliers, Dave Matthews, and Jack Johnson can do all kinds of awesome things amp-free.

Want to join them? In this workshop, you'll get to:

  • Play nylon-stringed and twelve-string guitars
  • Experiment with alternate tunings
  • Learn some cool uses for capos and slides
  • Develop your right-technique through Travis picking, Carter picking, bossa nova patterns, and more
  • Experience inspiring classic and new acoustic performances via audio and video - as well as live, in-studio shows!
  • Add to your vocabulary of songs, riffs, and solo licks

You'll also get the opportunity to play in an ensemble setting and have some one-on-one time with the instructor. The workshop will end in a concert for your parents and friends.

This workshop will be offered the week of July 16, 2012 at 56 17th Street in Ansley Park. Sign up now!
