Kids will enroll in either Andante or Allegro based on age and experience for this special collaborative workshop.

In the Andante & Allegro Play Workshops, kids will get an opportunity they don't get in private lessons: the chance to play with other kids. In small groups, participants will perform new songs, learn music theory in a fun, hands-on way, and create their own music through improvisation as well as composition. The goal is to bring music to life by going outside of the lesson, off the book, and into a dynamic and creative social experience.
Featuring guest clinicians and perfomers from the Eclectic Music staff and students as well as the larger musical community of Atlanta, this workshop series will help the beginning student fall in love with music and will give the more experienced student a major boost in progress.
This workshop can be adapted to all instruments and ability levels. Students up to Level 1 or Book 1 on their respective instruments and from age five to about nine are invited to join the Andante group. Students in Level 2 and up and about age ten and up are recommended for the Allegro group. If you are not sure which group you belong in, we can help. There will be special opportunities for more advanced students to facilitate - ask Casey!
Cost: $180 per week (combine two or more workshops and each one is $150)
