Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 12:44PM Learn the basics of technique, open chords, strumming, music notation, tablature, harmony, and more while learning classic rock, pop, and folk songs. You should bring your own guitar and a capo, if possible - acoustic or electric. While this class is for beginners, it's okay if you have musical experience or are currently taking lessons.
The classes meet once a week for six weeks, starting the week of June 22. If you go away for a week on vacation, you can come to two classes on one of the other weeks.
Tuition is $72 plus a $10 materials fee, for a total of $82. Classes will be held in Swiedler Hall at Eclectic Music.
The class will be taught by Casey McCann, director of Eclectic Music. While she has designed and taught several group guitar classes over the years, this is her first one here.
