Introducing preschoolers to the world of music-making and self-expression

We often receive requests from parents for a "sampler class" where children can try different instruments. This class is the perfect solution, although the focus is not so much on helping them choose an instrument to study.

Rather, our goal is to infuse the entire process of creating music with joy, love, and warmth. Kids sing, dance, improvise scenes, play all kinds of percussion, wind, and string instruments, play musical games, and discover melodic and rhythmic patterns.

In the process, your child is developing a sense of pitch, a sense of rhythm, and a capacity for appreciating the role of music in his own life. He's starting to understand that it's not just something to be heard on the radio or a few notes to plunk out, but something that is part of him - a pulsing, breathing life force that connects him to others and to the deepest essence of himself.

A bit lofty, eh? But we really believe it. We witness to the transformative effects of music every day around here, and we'd be honored to share that with your child.

Our unique method, combined with the social experience of a group class, is like nothing else you'll find. Best of all, we offer flexibility: an a la carte scheduling option, a liberal attendance policy, and a program customized to your child's level of experience.
