Electronic Music
The perfect blend of old-school and cutting-edge
Photo by William A. FranklinIt's never been easier to create your own music, even if you've never played an instrument. In this workshop, you will:
- Manipulate tape deck to create new combinations of sounds
- Scratch on a turntable
- Turn ordinary sounds into musical elements with the help of a sampler
- Use your own instrument to create a patch that can be altered, duplicated, or mixed right into a song
- Work as a group to create original electronic music using software combined with analog equipment
- Use a mini-wave-drum to turn a table top into a talking drum
- Play with Eclectic Music's collection of synths, software, and unusual musical instruments to create sound collages
- Experience audio and video of innovative electronica and avant garde musicians.
The workshop will end with a listening party where you'll share your work with family and friends.
This workshop will be offered the week of July 2, 2012 at 56 17th Street in Ansley Park. Sign up now!
All Eclectic Music workshops are one-week, half-day workshops in which participants (ages five and up) are grouped based on age and experience. Two workshops can be combined to create a full-day workshop. Tuition starts at $160 per workshop and is 10% off until April 1.
