Photography Exploration
Learn the art of creating intriguing images.

These days, any monkey with a digital camera can take a picture. But it takes skill as a photographer to tell a story with your images - to create a work of art that will evoke an emotional or thoughtful response from the viewer.
In this workshop, you'll learn to see the ordinary things around you in a new way. Light, shape, color, and proportion will become part of your visual vocabulary. You'll go from snapping a picture to composing a shot.
Workshop leader Emily Pidgeon, who has a B.F.A. in Photography from Georgia State, will be your guide as you explore the possibilities of your camera and develop an artistic vision, from preparation to execution to editing.
A digital camera is required for this workshop, for ages eight and up. The week will end with a slideshow showcase where you'll share your best photos for your family and friends.
This workshop will be offered the weeks of May 28 and July 2, 2012 at 56 17th Street in Ansley Park. Sign up now!
