Programs for Teens

By the time many kids are in high school, they have an idea of where their strengths lie and begin to focus on developing those gifts to the fullest capacity. We do have private lessons and group classes for teens who are beginners in music (see our page on programs for school-age students to get an idea of what we offer), but we also have a special track for students who are considering a career or scholarship in music. Learn more below.

Career Consultation This is a service we have always offered on an informal basis to our longtime students: to discuss careers in music and related fields, and to help students and their families come up with a plan for determining and reaching their goals with respect to higher education and career path. Our director, Casey McCann, can help you create a custom program of study combining the resources of Eclectic Music with the resources of the wider community.

Student Showcase The Student Showcase is an opportunity for our more accomplished students to go beyond the short program that they might present at a recital or open mic night and instead play a longer set (twenty minutes or more), in some cases highlighting their original material.

Music Theory, Songwriting, Performance Coaching, and Audition Preparation These specialized subject areas are offered as the need arises, either in a group setting or as part of a private lesson program.

At this stage, you're not just looking for a teacher - you could use guidance putting together a complete program for your child. If your child is aspiring to a career in music or simply wants to move toward his or her potential, please contact us directly at 404-910-3687 or by email to set up a consultation with our director.
