What to Bring

On Friday of camp:

We invite friends and family to join us for our Camp Showcase at 2:30pm on Fridays! After the Showcase we will celebrate our campers and their amazing achievements. Please bring a nut-free snack or treat to share for our After Party, if you’re so inclined!

Doors will open for the Showcase at 2:15pm. A staff member will meet parents and friends at the main double doors to let them in for the showcase beginning at 2:15pm. If you arrive before 2:15pm, please hang tight. If you arrive late for the showcase, please text 404-376-4694 and we'll let you in!

Friday Showcase

To start the day:

all campers and teachers gather together as a group for our morning sing-along. After morning sing-along our pre-k campers will head off to their respective camp section, while our older campers warm up their bodies, voices and imaginations in preparation for the day!

After our morning Snack:

Camp will split into smaller groups, based on our campers’ ages and interests, and we’ll dive right back into the music with our morning music classes. Each camper will take two morning classes, focusing on a different musical skill, with a different specialist counselor, and brand new music in each section. Campers will break for a group lunch at 11:30am.

AFTER LUNCH:

All campers will join together for our Arts & Creative Play class, where a camp counselor who specializes in creative arts & play leads our campers in all things imaginative. From designing our own band t-shirts, to making our own instruments, to writing original songs and stories, to designing our own music videos, arts and creative play is a time to get some sonic rest from jamming all day, and get creative in new ways! If the weather is nice, we will also take a short walk to a local park for some good old fashioned outdoor camp fun.

IN THE AFTERNOONS:

After our Arts & Creative Play class, we’ll share an afternoon snack, and all campers will go to their chosen elective for the last class of the day. This elective will be a small class arranged by the musical interests of each camper and specialize in a specific style of music. Elective classes will also feature mixed-age play (ages 5-12), where young campers can look up to their slightly older role models and older campers can learn about modeling leadership for the younger ones!
