Frequently Asked Questions

Tuition and Billing

Tuition is paid in advance in packages of four. Once you use the first four lesson credits, we will bill you for the next four. Tuition for for 30 minute lessons is $180.

Select instructors on our staff teach specialized lessons which are billed at a different rate than our standard tuition. If you are paired with a premium teacher we will discuss your teacher’s tuition rates with you upon booking.

While 30 minute lessons are most common, we also offer lessons at 45 minutes or 60 minutes

Academic terM Commitment

Academic Term lesson times are reserved for the academic term, August through May, as outlined on the Eclectic Music Calendar.

Only two weeks notice is required for discontinuation. If at any point you would like to discontinue, just reach out to us two weeks prior to your ideal end date.

Summer Lessons

Outside of our Academic Term we offer summer lessons from May through August.

Summer lessons are booked a la carte with no weekly commitments. For your convenience, existing clients can book lessons anytime during the Summer Term online through our summer scheduling page.

To learn more about these lessons, visit our Summer Lessons FAQ.

Student Cancellation

Our cancellation policy states that any student cancellation cannot be refunded. A teacher may, at their discretion, offer to reschedule the lesson, pending instructor availability.

Weekend lessons, flex date lessons, adult lessons before 2pm, and summer lessons may be canceled by the student without penalty, with twenty-four hoursʼ notice. In these cases, lesson credits will remain on your account for future use.

Click here for more about our cancellation policy.

Teacher Cancellation

If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, the credit from that lesson will roll forward on your account to be used in the future.

Your teacher may offer a time to reschedule a lesson that they have cancelled. You are welcome to either reschedule with them, or not. Either way, the credit from the cancelled lesson will be used the next time you have a lesson.

To begin, you’ll need a student, an instrument, and some creativity! We recommend that students begin lessons only once they have their instrument at home. Still looking for your in home instrument? Check out our recommendations here.
