Safety Protocols

for In-Person Lessons

Below are our current Covid-19 safety protocols for in-person music lessons.

As we all continue to experience first-hand, health recommendations will change as our understanding and management of the virus continues to evolve.

Although we can’t promise these protocols won’t change, we do promise we will prioritize our community’s safety and comfort with lots of understanding and loads of communication. We are stronger (and safer) when we work together for the benefit of all!

If you have any questions about the most up to date information regarding our Covid-19 policies and protocols, please reach out to the office.

Thank you for your help.

We retain the right to return to online lessons exclusively, should we deem necessary, as we navigate the complexities of the virus and subsequent variants in real time. If you are signed up for in-person lessons and do not wish to pivot to online lessons, you can cancel with two weeks notice, per our policies.

If Symptomatic

Should an instructor or student (or any close family member) be experiencing symptoms of illness, lessons will move online for 10 days, or until a negative Covid test has been provided. Your instructor will send the details of your Zoom lesson in anticipation of the change.

We thank you for notifying us if your in-person student (or someone in your immediate family) has a positive test or suspected case of Covid-19.

Online or In- Person

Students or instructors can choose to move to online lessons at any time, based on their preference for health and safety. If you would like to move to online lessons, simply let the office know and we’ll make arrangements for you!

If your instructor would like to move online, but you are still interested in in-person study, we will place you with another amazing in-person instructor, if currently available at Eclectic Music.

Vaccination

All Eclectic Music teachers available for in-person lessons are fully vaccinated.

We recommend clients returning to in-person lessons get vaccinated as made possible.

Masking

Masks are optional for all teachers, students and clients of Eclectic Music while in-studio.

We recommend masking for unvaccinated parties during in-home lessons.

Sanitization

Please sanitize hands before each lesson.

Instruments and high-touch surfaces will be sanitized between lessons in-studio.

We recommend keeping 3’ of distance between the instructor and student in-lessons when possible.

Distancing

Screening Questions

Instructors may ask some Covid-19 symptom screening questions upon arrival to your in-person lesson. If deemed necessary, we can arrange for a reschedule with an online lesson.

Lesson Types

For the time being, all voice, brass and woodwind lessons are only available in person for vaccinated students.

If you accidentally schedule one of these lesson types in person and are not vaccinated, no worries, we will redirect you to a reschedule with your instructor for online lessons.

Dialogue

Please let us know as soon as possible if your in-person student (or someone in your immediate family) has a positive test or suspected case of Covid-19, so the office can take appropriate measures to help keep everyone safe.

Thanks for your help in keeping our community healthy!
